Food processing has been my lifelong passion!

As the fifth generation of a family that boldly disrupted the food industry, I have had the privilege of contributing to this legacy in truly transformative ways. This legacy of innovation has been the driving force behind my 30+ years of global exploration and expertise. My journey has allowed me to transform this passion into a dynamic career, spanning across diverse sectors like automation, nutraceuticals, oenology, packaging, agriculture (AG), and artificial intelligence (AI). With each new opportunity, I have harnessed cutting-edge technologies and industry insights to create  impactful solutions that shape the future of food and beyond.

I am excited to announce my transition to a new role. Until recently, I served as the Director of Business Development at Gulftech International a diversified holding group, global leader in the food and packaging sectors

Until May 2022 I have been the President and CEO of Turatti North America, located in Salinas (CA) the AG capital of the world, with one foot in its fields and another edged toward Silicon Valley.

Throughout my career, I have held key board positions, including with the International Fresh-Cut Produce Association, United Fresh and Confindustria Venezia (Italy’s Industrial Association).

As a recognized expert in the food industry, I have authored several articles and book chapters on subjects like Food Safety, Fresh-Cut Processing, and Hygienic Design (see the dedicated section of this website for more). In addition to my writing, I contribute as an external instructor at the University of California, Davis, and advise several prestigious universities in both the United States and Europe.

I have been speaker in dozens of industry events in all the continents on multiple topics ranging from food processing to automation and hygienic design.

I hold a B.S. degree “Summa Cum Laude” in Political Science with publication from the University of Padua and earned a dual specialization in Business Administration from University Bocconi in Milan.

In addition to my academic achievements, I am committed to lifelong learning, regularly attending advanced courses and specializations at prestigious institutions such as the University of California, Berkeley, to stay at the forefront of industry developments.

Traveling, hiking, cooking, and collecting antique books have always been my enduring interests, offering me a fulfilling balance outside of my professional life.

Alessandro was instrumental in the implementation of several disruptive processing solutions during my presidency at Dole Fresh. I was able to appreciate his spirit of partnership and with his coordination we have precisely achieved the objectives set in advance.
